Yeah man totally, and still its not that much electro-reggaeton but yeah. Daddy yankee does not lead any movement he is mainstream and thus resignedthe urban movement Dj nelson or Nelflow and danyy fornaris have produced exclusive tracks for famous Reggaeton club Flow la discoteca, I think its the other way around also in which DY followed footsteps, he’s just a monkey dancing for money. Whatever, t least here in the Island we know whats real. Peace

I just noticed this today via google alerts. There is a book release party next week for Raquel Z Rivera’s book REGGAETON and its to be held at APT in manhattan. (don’t know if you live in new york) but its on may 7th.

There might be a chance that the La Lupe film will come to fruition! Lauren Velez will do a one night only show of “La Lupe: A One Woman Show” April 15, 2009 in Miami Beach. Wish I could be there !!!!!!
Her boyfriend and writer/creator of Showtime’s Dexter, James Manos Jr. wrote and directed it.
The show is mainly to raise interest in possible investors to produce a full feature film. I hope it goes well for them She is long overdue and I think she’ll nail it.

Just stumbled over this post in my “search-rss-for-salsa”

I think you hit the nail on the head
I am a male, white (can’t deliver this no way…), salsa dancer (pretty good). I’ve been around dominicans for more then 15 years, and understand and speak Spanish. (I can deliver the interpretation of a romantic salsa song, and let a dancepartner feel the meaning, even though she does not understand spanish).

I’ve seen this happen more then once around me, and think you analisys is correct.
